About PANTECHNICON:
Guy Hatton's PANTECHNICON is a suite of compositions for small electric jazz ensemble, and the group gathered to perform them.
The first performance took place at the Harrogate International Festival fringe in July 2010, and subsequently at the Grove Inn Jazz Club in Leeds in November 2010.
The CD of Guy Hatton's PANTECHNICON was released on September 5 2011, and features: Guy Hatton (guitar), Phil Meadows (alto & soprano saxophones, electronics), Graham Clark (electric violin), Dave Evans (keyboards), Roger Inniss (bass guitar) and Jose Williamson (drums). The album is also available as a digital download from iTunes, Amazon and other online stores.
"The best jazz gig in Harrogate since Wayne Shorter" Graham Chalmers, Fringe Festival Director.
"Full of imagination and melody." Harrogate Advertiser 23-07-2010
"Superb! Lots of ideas and textures and really strong melodies. Reminiscent of the very best jazz rock a la Colisseum, Brand X as well as very contemporary sounding." Reg Clegg, JET Collective.
